The fate of Michael Vick's pit bulls. A happy story, for the most part.
I was going to post that here ... I wish the group the best in this project. I hope the dogs can recover.

This was a really cool story. I did wonder what happened to those poor dogs - I'm glad to see so many happy tales.

Yet, still, i want to stab Vick repeatedly in the face.
Hmm, maybe a relaxing bath will help.
Probably not.

I am so glad that it was decided rehab would work for most of the dogs.

Thanks for posting the follow-up, gaspode!

There was a feature in the local paper about two of the dogs, puppies when they were rescued, who got placed at a local org. They are reported to be doing well.

I've met Donna and Tim from Bad Rap. They're stellar people -- kind, hard-nosed, realistic. The Vick dogs couldn't have met up with better company.

If you're curious about the whole rehabilitation story, they've put up a special Vick dogs section of their website, including three videos about the dogs' evaluations, rehab, and adoption prospects.

Oh, and you can follow the coverage on their blog.

I just told my puppy about this article, kind of like a bed time story. She approves, as do I, although I'm so saddened that this happened at all. I'd like to believe that there's a special place reserved somewhere for people who treat animals poorly. Thanks for the follow up, gaspode and tangerine.
