The best jellybean flavor is Pear. Refute, discuss.
My all time favorites are the black licorice ones. They remind me of my grandparents. I am, however, one of the few that actually like the buttered popcorn Jelly-Bellys.
I like the eggshell white one. The one that isn't mint, or lemon or whatever the other suspiciously similar colored ones are. I can never seem to find more than one whenever I get jellybeans.
i haven't had them in years. i always liked the chocolate pudding, but i always liked seeing how close they got in taste, and i love variety. It's another one of those thing i never get for myself. i think pear is suppose to be pretty easy to replicate as it is basically one chemical.
It's molecular gastronomie.
The hierarchy goes watermelon, root beer, and the yellow ones.
(As for pear beans: I've always admired the fidelity of their flavoring, but they don't always connect with me. I'm ready for watermelon every minute of the day, but I need to be in a contemplative, autumnal sort of mood to properly appreciate the old Speckled Green.)
I like the black ones. But, over the years, I've found this to be a surprisingly contentious position, and I usually only say anything when, y'know, there are black jellybeans to be eaten.
