Make sure you run a hash on the finished product, because they're paying you by the word. If you use "a", "the", "and", and so on more than once, it doesn't count, because it's the same word.
Huh, even at the crappy exchange rate, I get paid better in $ per word by the MainStreamMedia site I write for (but then Microsoft and NBC/Universal are made of money and everything I can get out of their corporate coffers is a big win for the Prole). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come up with an article idea since I wrote about the Writers' Strike early in December. Is it Writer's Block or is my imagination honoring the picket lines? I don't know. Maybe I should ask the bunnies for ideas - but remember, this is for an Entertainment Section where the Reality TV and Celebrity Gossip subsections are as important as Movies and Music, and at the bottom is "Arts, Books and More".

...yes, I'm being Rank.
Actually, this is tough. It's an angle I wouldn't want to write about because, even as the Military is consuming more than half the Federal Budget here in the U.S.ofA., the Military Culture seems to be kept at arms length from the rest of us, which is not a good thing. I mean, even War Movies these days are about one or two "Top Gunnish" or "Rambo-ish" heroes, not whole armies. But it may be different in the UK, or is the magazine for an international audience? If so, that makes that kind of topic even tougher. Yes, I am being NO help whatsoever.
