Help me find stuff to put on my walls. An example of what I'm looking for inside...[More:]I kinda like these prints. But they're kinda pricey for what seems like mass produced stuff. Can anyone guide me to other artists, or a general process for finding art in a similar style online?
I've gotten some great stuff from art.com. They don't have anything by the artist you linked to, but they do have an "abstract" category where you might find some stuff you like.

Are they pricey because they're on stretched canvas, rather than a print that needs framing?

There are some neat wall hangings over on Design Public.

Also, maybe try Etsy?

I'll be watching this thread too, we've had bare walls for like 10 months now. I want art!

You would be willing to pay a similar price to those if it was an editioned run or an original?

pokermonk: Yeah, I believe so. If I were buying directly from the artist, I'd feel better about it.

marimekko has awesome large-panel fabrics that you can buy as yardage or stretched on a frame as art.

misskaz: I've looked at Etsy, but it seems awash with crafty knick-knacks and small paintings that look like Natalie Dee rip-offs (not anything wrong with that, just not what I'm looking for), so I give up pretty quickly. Maybe I'm just not browsing/searching correctly?

Seconding Miko, but not just marimekko fabrics (which can be very expensive.

Even Amy Butler stuff can look modern and trendy stretched as a canvas. Check out your local indie fabric store for some ideas.

They've not updated much lately, but dig you may want to dig through the archives of We ♥ Prints. I've found some really cool artists through them that have reasonably priced pieces. They're where I discovered the duo from Fleet Street Scandal, who has three pieces gracing my walls.

Cool, the Fleet Street Scandal prints are pretty cool. I especially like this one.

Er...I just said 'cool' twice in the same sentence. Uncool.

It's cool. I said "dig" twice in mine. At least it wasn't DiggIt!

Do we have a Photo Friday theme for this week? || I'm laying in bed with a box of kleenex, a cup of tea, and a bottle of Tylenol.
