Everyone be safe out there tonight. Remember, the amateur drinkers will be out there on the roads in droves.
A couple of years ago I was driving back from the AA dance on New Year's Eve when a woman, in a crowd that had just come out of a pub (The White Hart, chrismear will know it), fell in front of my car. Luckily, as it was 1am and there was no other traffic, I was able to brake and swerve to the other side of the road, otherwise I'd have killed her.
Her friends picked her up and off they went. She was so absolutely insensible through drink that she had no idea how close she came to dying that night.
Not only loads of amateur drinkers out tonight, but hereabouts will also have 5-8 inches of fresh snow, starting roughly now. Almost glad I'm staying home.
