Duelity.net Stunning to look at Flash animation on creationism and evolutionism. Not completely sure they got the message as clear as they could have, but it's awesome eye candy.
I love the juxtaposition of the 'scientific' explanation of creationism and the 'mythical' treatment of evolution.

Gives a whole new meaning to the "something magical happens here" stage. :)

Thanks! It might well be the best flash animation I've seen, or at least one of the very few worthwhile ones.

I love it.

It really bugs me when people take many different areas of science and conflate them into "evolution."

Cosmological theories are not evolution.
Abiogenesis is not evolution.

By doing this, creationists accomplish two things. One, they soften the antiscientific nature of their belief system, by claiming that it is just one "theory" they disagree with, rather than many different areas of science. The other is that they attempt to weaken evolution by throwing lots of things in the pot that are not known with the certainty of evolution, which is a scientific fact.

You can have creationism versus science. Or creationism versus evolution. But if you choose to portray it as the latter, then focus on evolution rather than how the solar system was created.

I've never even heard of abiogenesis, so yay for starting a thread and learning something new.

Just to make sure this is clear: my rant was not aimed at you TheDonF. I think you understood that, but wouldn't want any hard feelings.
