Why do people hate Amy Winehouse so much? I don't get it. I mean yeah, she's all fucked up on drugs from time to time and is maybe anorexic, but why the hate?
I've always been annoyed at winehouse. I always found her voice to be totally fake. Like, it sounds like the voice of someone doing a character, not someones actual singing voice. It just sounds strange. I don't know if she's actually faking the voice though, it just sounds like it. And ya know, she's a shithead junkie. That doesn't exactly help her.
But yeah, Jamie Lynn Spears. No one should be terribly surprised by that. That family is total garbage.
Crazy Days and Nights had a blind item at the beginning of October that sounds like it could fit around the story for a number of reasons (JLS is on a teen show, she claimed to not have a boyfriend in some interview recently), EXCEPT that she claims to be only 12 weeks along now, which means the producers of the show found out about 2 seconds after she was conceived. Hmm, perhaps she's a little farther along than she claims?
Good grief, Lily Allen has only been seeing her boyfriend since September, and she found out a month ago she's pregnant. So she must have been knocked up within a couple of weeks of their first date. Have these girls never heard of contraception?
This thread is kind of ... yeah. Anyway, maybe it'll have an unintended effect: people who read OK! (not the brightest bunch, usually) will go out and get some condoms and keep them in their purses/wallets. Or not.
I don't see how this is celebrity gossip unless this girl is some kind of celebrity I've never heard of. I didn't even know Britney had a sister. But then again, I guess that's because I don't give a flying fuck about celebrities.
It does seem to me, though, that the bar people are required to clear to become a celebrity has been lowered significantly over the past whatever years. One of the bad influences of the Internet, I guess.
Now, a question; Why is this such a shocking thing? Understand that I know nothing about her, but is it shocking simply in the way that any 16-year-old becoming pregnant is usually somewhat shocking? Or has her machine been exploiting the "purity" angle like they used to for Britney? Or what?

There isn't one. Britney said "We're Southern" once to excuse her driving with her baby in her lap, so it's possible the family clings to Southern stereotypes, desperate to lay them out.
On the blue, someone said they saw this headline right alongside "Lynn Spears parenting book delayed indefinitely."
Yes, apparently before this, Lynn was writing a parenting book. How she was going to be able to write it with a straight face, I don't know. Putting the teen pregnancy aside, it's not like Britney is doing that well at the moment.

Well, I think her marital status and age is a big part of it- societ tend to think of unmarried teens as not "ready" to have babies. When they do, it's always a mistake they have to "take responsibility" for, not a welcomed joy (which is a very sad way to bring a new life into the world, I think). Plus, she's on a teen show, which makes some people believe she's supposed to be a "role model" (although why anyone would want anyone in the entertainment business to be a "role model" is beyond me- get me some Laura Ingalls Wilder, stat!)
