That was a cool read. Thanks seanyboy.

In terms of substance, I was sort of simultaneously intrigued and irritated.

But overall, I have to say that the imposed line width on my monitor just made reading it so incredibly annoying that I could hardly pay attention to any subtleties in the text. Sad but true. I find it nearly impossible to absorb any kind of literature, or even a long (or longish) article, on the computer - but most especially those with the 300 or 400 pixel (or similar) line width (or the opposite thing, with margin-to-margin text). Having to skip to the next line every 10 words, for me, was gruesome, and I began to lose the thread and even the fabric of the narrative after the first 10 or 20 lines.

Nothing against this writer, seanyboy! But the page design really ruined it for me, and I'm a person who definitely doesn't look for things to criticize.

Sorry - not exactly the page design, but the whole typography element. Nothing wrong with the overall page design.

I sat down with my first cup of tea and cigarette of the day, listening to the rain outside, and followed your link. What a great way to start the morning. Thank you, seanyboy.

taz: I had precisely the same response, which annoyed me, because I suspected I would have liked it otherwise.
