I wish I could have been there. Along with the company, I could have used a drink or six last night. Thanks for taking pictures - it's appreciated by us "absent on picture day" folks.
While I kind of figured Rick would come over and say hi, I definitely didn't expect him to buy us drinks and give us copies of his book. How crazy was that?
I just bought him a MeFi account. We'll see if he shows up.
I had the BEST time last night - part of me wishes I would have stayed out longer, but part of me is glad I am feeling pretty fine today. :) You guys are even more fun that I had imagined - I'm already looking forward to the next one, whenever that may be.
Also, eamondaly: I think I owe you a drink because you bought the first round and I never reciprocated. Next time!
For a while I lived a couple of blocks from Wrigley Field, on Racine just north of Addison. Then I moved north where it was cheaper and spent a couple of years in the same building as John Cusack's character in High Fidelity. Then I moved away and I've only been back two or three times. I should visit soon.
