I've been good, surprisingly. I'm chronically un(der)employed, which blows, but other than that, my life has taken several changes for the awesome.

I have a pretty great roommate, which is awesome because I totally hate living alone.

I'm also dating this pretty awesome guy. I never planned on a "rebound" or anything, he just became a really close friend over the summer and then when Kattullus moved out, things just... well, there was a connection and things took their natural course. He's been oh so supportive and I don't know where I would be without him. Gosh. I sound all mushy. So it goes.

So, yeah. I've been pretty alright, all things considering.

As a few of you might remember, I went through a hilariously difficult marriage breakup at the start of last year, followed by a bunch of shenanigans lifted straight out of a freshman's Hunter Thompson-esque ripoff of a final paper. Thank the gods that my ex was not a Metafilter member, though she did manage to cause a bit of havoc with my account at one point.

In the meantime, I met a wonderful lady named Unicorn on the cob. For the first year we were together, she gave me and my Mefi space, cautiously watching over my shoulder and skimming AskMe when she was at work. She only joined up a few months back, though, after I repeatedly insisted that she has way more to contribute to the site(s) than I could ever hope to achieve.

Since joining our ranks, she's made waves that rival asavage & Woz (250+ favs on a single comment?!? WHAT HAVE I CREATED???)

I've learned to accept the fact that her smarts are just part of the whole item/Uotc love package. My greatest fear now is... what if we break up? I could very easily get voted off the island - nay, the whole goddamn planet! Crap. Better start stockpiling bottled water, TNT, and ddos attack manuals before it's too late.

Thanks amyms :) Cliché as it is, I think ultimately the breakup was the best for both of us.
