Is it worth it? i have thirty minutes to figure it out.
I adore my ancient Wacom tablet (and I'm amazed at how sturdy it's been - I don't know if this is still the case with newer models, but wow-mine), and this price seems faboo. So, I'd be like, "yes".

It's not really much of a deal.

That said, I'll be springing for the lamely named "Fun" version, for the convenience of the mouse and bundled software.

ah! Yeah, take your time, then. Lucky US people... these things are so much more expensive here!

A graphic artist friend of mine swears the charcoal wacoms are the very best. He has the Graphire now, the white bluetooth one, and doesn't like it nearly as much.

I've been looking at getting a tablet. The Wacom is the obvious choice, they have the best rep, are a known quantity, etc. But I saw a 6x8 tablet from a company called Genius for $50 on Newegg, which has gotten fairly decent reviews. For that size in a Wacom, you are talking $300+. It has better pressure sensitivity that the Graphire or Bamboo, but doesn't have the tilt of the Intuos. I'm well aware of the "you get what you pay for" rule, but it is tempting. I should probably get the Bamboo and call it good, but 4x6 (which since I have a non-widescreen monitor, I would have to use the driver to turn off part of the active area) seems like it might get a bit cramped. Any thoughts?
