2 Days Left to Sign up for the Metachat Holiday Card Exchange! →[More:]Instructions:
Email sisterhavana at the address in her profile with your name, MeCha screen name, mailing address, email address where you want the mailing list sent, and anything else you'd like people to know (winter holiday of choice, etc.) Let's make the deadline Nov. 30 so people have plenty of time to see this and decide if they want in or not.

At last count, I heard we had 34 people signed up! Very nice.

Nope, pup, someone breaks it down into more manageable chunks. Last year, I think I had six people in my group.

Yeah, I think there were like, 5 or 6 people per group, but I know two or three people were industrious enough to send a card to everybody (I certainly wasn't!)

I'm usually right there with you, eek, but I signed up last year anyhow and sent out some messages of joy and peace and whatever hippie nonsense I dream up out here. A good chunk of the cards I got weren't Xmassy in the least and it was a nice way to show off my "invisible friends" to my in person friends who came over to eay soup and do stuff over the holidays. Feel free to do what you want, just a data point from someone on your side of the fence generally that it was a decent time last year.

I don't normally send Christmas cards to anyone but I did sign up for this. Sounded like fun, and sounded like something I wanted to do versus something I felt obligated to do. A lot to be said for that, ya know.

We have 37 people in so far!

mudpuppie, once everyone signs up, the list is going to be divided (via the ever-popular random drawing method) into smaller groups. Last year there were 36 people in so there were 3 groups of 12. You send cards to the other people in your group. I will email the entire address list to everyone involved so if you want to send cards to bunnies who aren't in your group, you can do that too. : )

It was loads of fun last year and I'm sure it will be just as fun this year. : )

If it were just me living here, I'd sign up... but my wife was stalked when she was young (because of some media attention) and she's really uncomfortable with this sort of thing.

Sorry, folks. I feel like a real humbug as well (I sort of am, being an atheist)...
