Complete Buffy series on sale today only (again) Last April when Mike9322 posted this deal of the day, I missed it by a day and instantly joined their mailing list hoping they would run it again - and today they have.

The deal isn't quite as great as they claim (they claim it normally costs $200, but really it's closer to $135), but it still comes out to a savings of about $40 over the normal box set cost. Also - 10 cents cheaper per disc than last time!

I sent my brother an email. On account of it being on my xmas list. I'm quite sure he'll get the email 2 minutes after it goes back to normal price.

Related to which, Arrested Development has likewise been flip-flopping between $55 and $85 for the whole series from week to week. (Countless examples of this abound right now, I'm sure, but I was sure pissed when this went up $40 on me.)

Except that, y'know, I really feel the AD guys deserve the feeble bucks they'll get in revenues if you have to buy your own. So I kind of hesitate to lend it out.

I wish I could feel the money would go more to the deserving artists and technicians, and not to some ultrawealthy CEO who contributed sfa to the actual production. Friggin' leeches.

Damned if I lend and damned if I encourage you to buy. I hate trying to choose between supporting criminal enterprise (the Hollywood/Finances machine; the RIAA machine) or being a "criminal" library-using, book-swapping, record-sharing information-wants-to-be-free hippy.
