Dudley Moore's Parody of a Beethoven Sonata. Based on the famous whistled march from Bridge on the River Kwai; the coda is particularly epic.
That was wonderful! I also like the 'Hernando's Hideaway' reference sneaked in.

Dudley Moore was such a talented man. He came from Dagenham, where I used to live. Most Dagenham boys left school and went to work at Ford, either on the factory floor and the foundry, or, for the cleverer ones, in the offices. Dudley Moore was very lucky to be encouraged in his music by a teacher who became his mentor and encouraged him to apply to Oxford University.

Because of his club foot, he wouldn't have found the other way out of Dagenham and 50 years at the Ford plant - football. Dagenham boys were among the best footballers of the 60s - Greaves, Moore, Hurst, Peters, Venables...
