Police are raiding my neighbour's flat as we speak [More:]
Some of you may remember this and this from earlier this year. The neighbour is not home but police arrived a short while ago and, using a set of keys, they are in his flat and are, it would appear, searching for something.

I also heard from another neighbour that the guy upstairs had his car towed away a few days ago because of unpaid parking tickets. I do hope this is the beginning of the end of him living here.
What wonderful guy! Not. I hope your next neighbor's a little more peaceable and personable.

No way!

Awesome, I have my fingers crossed for you. It'd be sooooo nice if he were not living near you!!

They just left, carrying various items in sealed plastic evidence bags. They locked up, so I think they must have his keys. I wonder if hope he is in custody.

Oh, so cool. Congrats, jan.

If they end up arresting him when he comes home, you should be sitting outside your door in a lawn chair, munching popcorn and drinking a cold drink. Wave excitedly as they drag him past.

I'm wondering just what he managed to do to finally get their attention.

I truly hope you have seen the last of that bloke.

Oh I do hope he is gone for good.

Ugh. Is it a crime scene? Hopefully not.

I remember you telling us about this guy, essexjan. I hope he doesn't return.

As Bugs would say: "So long, Screwy!"
The full quote is "So long, Screwy! See ya in Saint Louie!"

...which bothers me because I live in San Luis (Obispo) which could be easily misinterpreted. And, while living in L.A., I had a neighbor that I had the good fortune of seeing evicted by the L.A.P.D. (sadly, no opportunity to witness police brutality then - he would've deserved it). And, come to think of it, a couple other neighbors that I wished it would happen to (which, out of 11 addresses in L.A. in 30 years, most of which were of necessity low-rent locations, not that bad a record). And none of my current neighbors in my low-rent place in San Luis is "Screwy", so I remain hopeful.

Yay! I'm glad they caught up with the asshole. I'd been wondering what shenanigans he'd been up to lately.

Excellent. Let's hope he's done something bad enough to send him up for long enough that he will have to sell his place to some handsome, charming single man who is skilled at undertaking all those outside maintenance tasks. Shirtless.
