Who else is doing NaNoWriMo this year? I heard about it last year, and then got Chris Baty's book from the library about a week back. It gave me the inspiration needed to finally write the novel I've always wanted to write.→[More:]

Anyone else doing it this year? Any vets want to share tips and experiences with a newbie?

I signed up, but I have written squat. I'm actually cheating, badly, as I have the outline and a bunch of text down already, and plan(ned) on using it - but I'll probably still overshoot 50k actual words written in the month by a factor or two.

Once I start writing, that is. Any minute now. Yup. Hey, my coffee is cold. BRB.
