Uh, good thing I'm not applying for a job in Japan! I cannot figure out this test. Does that mean I have no IQ?

I hate this kind of test -- they had them on the GRE's, and I felt like scrawling on my test paper, "People just need to get along."

GAH! I don't get it! It doesn't work! It's a trick, it has to be. I can spin the girl both to the left and to the right, so that means I am in a state of both right and left brain perfection la-dee-dah-ness, but I can't figure this frigging thing out. A clue, please?

Yay! I got it! msali, I'd say the clue is to carry the same person over the river more than one time. The original text isn't Japanese, BTW. It's Chinese.

You just have to ask the guard what the adult female would say if you asked her what the adult male would say if you asked him what the guard would say if they were lying... wait, my head hurts now.
