I mean, it's not always that simple, I know, but judging from your past posts you don't seem all that happy with your current situation. Maybe it's time to cut losses and head for greener pastures, wherever they may be.

(Just not in Seattle, please. Nothing personal, but we have too many people moving here and driving up the cost of living. Our infrastructure is fucked, believe me - we are voting yet again on funding for mass transit that should have been in place ten years ago. We can't handle any more pilgrims.)

I can't sell the place until it's made fit to live. God knows when that will be...and I don't feel like I've done what I need to do here. Ideally, I'd be in New England. My brother has a theater production company in Seattle, but we are not speaking.

There are a lot of other things upsetting me besides my living situation. Don't tell me to see a shrink: I had twenty-six years of "let's find the magic answer to brujita's problems, but we won't take a good look at ourselves"

And the shitty part is that I can see so many good things about it, but all the bad crap - the rampant pollution that no one cares about, the complete lack of public transportation, the "individualists" who all own SUVS and don't car-pool, the sometimes extremely reactionary xenophobia - really tars everything else.
