They really are gorgeous pictures, aren't they? It was *such* an amazing day. The ceremony was moving and beautiful and thought-provoking and original, and the reception was gloriously fun. And them dancing together, my god!
Incidentally, my sister and I have different fathers, which is why we don't look alike. She and my brother look similar, but she and I are like chalk and cheese.
What a beautiful wedding and setting! Where was it held, Specklet (if you don't mind me asking)? Was the meal at the same place? It all looks so enchanting.
By the way, am I the only one who thought Specklet sprang forth, fully grown, from the head of Zeus?
My sister's been married six times, and I've never been a bridesmaid, not even at the first wedding when she had six bridesmaids - three little girls and three adults. And I'm her only sister.
It was outside of Madison, Wisconsin, Deborah. The setting could not have been more perfect. The ceremony was on a hilltop with the catalpa tree, dinner was served on a stone terrace under swags of billowing tarp and a sprinkling of lights, and down a gravel road and past a meadow (where my brother-in-law surprised my sister with fireworks!) was the open-air dancing pavillion.
Gorgeous pictures, gorgeous setting...congratulations to the happy couple!
essexjan, I understand. My brother was in both of my weddings (and his fiancee also in the second one) but I was not a part of their wedding party. And I'm his only sibling, and we have a good relationship. Sigh.
Especially not there, brujita - it has to be a 'registered premises'. I think there are ways of registering structures that are nearly outdoors, but it's quite a process to get registered, and in practice only hotels and stately buildings (as well as churches which are registered by default) do it.
