Keep your fingers crossed for me. We just wrapped up a job today (or, more accurately, did all we could with what we had, but that's another rant). While there, I ran into someone I'd love to work for, and let him know that I'm available if he or someone he knows needs a helper. (The guy I usually work for is fine with this, btw.)→[More:]I really like this guy's work, and would love to learn more about his trade. I also like him and the other craftsman he usually works with, and know we'd work well together. Plus, they're super-busy. I'm not counting on anything (he didn't say that he needed anyone, and I did say to pass my number on if he heard of anyone else), but a girl can hope, right? He took my number and I'm pretty sure he talked to his partner. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease let me get this! (I won't say what it is for fear of jinxing it, but if it comes through y'all will be the first to know.)
