I'm going as Little Edie for Halloween
Are you going to wear pantyhose or some pants under a short skirt? Then you have the pants under the skirt and then you can pull the stockings up over the pants underneath the skirt. And you can always take off the skirt and use it as a cape. That would be the best costume for the day. I have a cat you can borrow.

I love that movie and those women ever so much. What an awesome, awesome, awesome Halloween idea!

My wife was going to be Little Edie, but worried that no one would get it. So she did Joan Crawford instead.

That is SO AWEWSOME!

I demand pictures!

Are you going to rock the sweater turban?
(and similarly, what do you think of the Drew Barrymore "remake" of Grey Gardens?)

That's a wonderful idea! And one I wish I'd thought of myself!

I've seen photos of Drew Barrymore as Little Edie and she has too much hair. Little Edie should have no hair!

Albert Maysels said she had hair; he was at the screening of GG I attended several years ago which was slightly out of focus; if the picture had been sharper, one could see a bit at the edge of her headress.

Interesting - from watching Grey Gardens a few times and looking up anything I could about Little Edie online, I always assumed she was bald, or balding. I don't think she had this much hair:

Did anyone else read that as "Little Eide," and think it was the coolest costume ever? Does it come with a little cycle and a little sparkling wit?

I'm flattered.

*reads again*

Oh, wait.
