Yeah, I heard nothing but glowing reviews for it, which is one reason I want to see it. When I first saw the trailers, I thought I'd pass on this one, but the more I've heard about it the more I think I should give it a shot.
There will never be a better time for me to mention Alix Lambert's excellent documentary about Russian prison tattoos, The Mark of Cain, and the threegreatbooks about the topic.
I say go see it, BP. It only played in LR for a week or two, and I missed it. I haven't been so bummed out to miss seeing something in a theater since Manufactured Landscapes.
I saw Eastern Promises but wasn't overly thrilled with it. What did thrill me were the tatts. I guess I'll be heading to our "arty" rental place to get The Mark of Cain. It really sounds like nifty.
