Go Red Sox! Go Red Sox! Go Red Sox! [More:]....

That is all.

Oh, and Dice K makes me crave heart meds.
We are watching. I actually forgot for a minute and asked hubby if he wanted to take a shower with me. He said no. This damn baseball is cramping my style.

I asked hubby if he was nervous and he said yes. Let's go Red Sox, I suppose.

Buh. Yet another double play.

I'm in the happy position of liking both these teams, so either outcome's good by me. (Oh my, Pedroia just hit the two-run homer as I was typing this. Go Sox, I guess!)

(Also, this game is the first time I'd noticed the little butt-waggle that Dice-K does during his windup. 'Tis cute.)

Papelbon!

Once again it appears I can take pride in the fact that I left Cleveland, the city of my birth, at the age of 5-and-a-half. Go Beans!

Miko, "Papelbon!" has become a term of general approbation around our home.

Sometimes I substitute "Pamplemousse!" instead. Whatever.

I sort of feel guilty for rooting for the Sox, but Cleveland is annoying.

Go Sox!

This is getting ugly. Woo for Red Sox fans!

Did they just get a shitload of runs or am I having trouble reading the internet scores correctly?

Yeah, that's how I felt, too. Exciting!

I think I might like this, whadayacallit, baseball after all.

I could not care less about baseball, but: Oh, oh, Boston you're my home! (the Standells were an LA band)

Jesus fucking Christ. Isn't there one place in the world I can go to get away from this bullshit?

I HATE BOSTON!

Same here, Eide, same here.

GO ROCKIES!

PREPARE TO BE SWEPT BOSTON!
posted by stynxno 22 October | 09:06
OK, now I'm rooting for the Rockies.

Also, I'm dreading the inevitable "Rocks vs. Sox" from every.single.sportscaster.

Such a strange game. . .The Indians got a couple bad breaks. . .Lofton was safe at second. . .so that is at least one more run. . .also, Kenny being held up at third. . another run. . which changes the game and makes late Boston batter less loose and free.

And what the hell was that Cleveland third baser doing on that pop fly. . .that is ALWAYS the shortstop's play.

All that said, I was rooting for the Sox. . .

(What do you want to bet that Coke makes a commercial with Youklis now?)

Well, danf, if we want to talk about what-ifs, didn't Ellsbury fail to catch a fly ball that Ramirez could have gotten to in time? I don't remember if that resulted in a run for Cleveland.

I missed that one. Ellsbusy (Go Beavs!) did make a nifty play in left, in the last inning, when they (wisely) pulled Manny out. He also made a good catch in center, earlier.
