Lead in lipstick→[More:]So one more time- why is it they're doing animal testing?
Well, I've always been a proponent of *more* animal testing.
The trouble is, getting rabbits to fill in those little bubbles with a #2 pencil is tricky, so it can be hard to discern any neurotoxicity vs. a bunny who decided to merely nibble on the pencil, leaving little lipsticky smudges.
Alarmism. If I used lipstick, I'd continue without a second thought. The amount of lead involved is absolutely tiny, and if you're concerned about your health the time (and perhaps money) you spend doing anything about this would be better spent on almost anything else.
kellydammit: the last two women I know who were/are pregnant were told that if they were in the habit of eating seafood prior to becoming pregnant, it was too late to refrain.
