Here's a couple food blogs that spring to mind in the same spirit:

cooking for engineers is probably one of the better known. He created a bit of a splash when he started up with his graphical recipe presentation (scroll to the bottom to see what I mean).

One of the oddest/most innovative food blogs I've found is IDEAS IN FOOD (WARNING: today's recipe is not for the squeamish---it's a pig's head). It's run by a couple who happen to be accomplished chefs. Some of the food is very odd. For instance, how would you garnish your new sweet corn ice cream? With tequila-infused caviar and tubes of pumpernickel, of course.

It looks like cook.com is a food related search engine. Y'all might have to come up with a penny or two to buy it out.

cookzine.com seems to be available, though. Is that the kind of thing that gets people sued?
