today i shall rent a car and drive to big rapids to attend the company picnic, halfway between our grand rapids and traverse city branches. my daughter and her family will also attend. this evening, by means of a slick geographic serendipity, i have a show at a youth rally on the ferris state campus, also in big rapids. renting a car because i won't have my new used jeep cherokee until tomorrow. God is good, q is grateful.

Woke up earlier than intended today (wakened by a phone call interrupting a dream in which I was part of a group gathering for a viewing of 'a 15-second bonus mini-episode of The Sopranos' - and I was never a fan), checked my email and saw notifications that people were commenting on a MeCha topic I'd posted a year ago... although at first glance, it looked like somebody had hacked my account to wish the q a happy day. Can this day get any weirder? One of the mistaken posters has corrected her error here but here's the other:
