Emusic users: Have you installed the new remote control? Have you had problems with it?→[More:]
I've been an emusic user for a while now, and signed up for their audiobook service as soon as it started. The only problem is that I can't get the new remote to work on the Mac I use.

I tried contacting customer service, but even after checking everything/following their steps it didn't work.

Am I alone in my ineptitude or has anyone else had problems with it?

Mine works, but only just. I really don't like it. Where I was able to download an entire album with one click, I now have to make that same click and then click on each track to get it to DL. Not a huge deal in the big scheme of things, but a pointless pain in the ass nonetheless.

Works for me, on an Intel Mac. Seems like a rather heavy handed solution considering what they had before. You can still browse on the web and only use it for downloads so it's not horrible, but it feels like a step back to the AOL proprietary browser days.

If you install it, and then uninstall it and go back to the old downloader, does the old downloader still work?

I think it installs itself over the old downloader (if that makes sense). As I used to have the old downloader in my dock, but now it won't work either.

I wonder if my problems are related to it being on a PPC Mac.

I'm going to try on my PC when I get home.

I tried the PC version and it worked, but I really don't get the whole "let's make a Browser" thing.
