Also, just to provide more info, Ramadan begins today. (I have both Jewish and Muslim coworkers. The contrasts sometimes give me a brain cramp.)

I'm all for apples and honey, though, regardless of the holiday.

As I've told my Jewish friends, Rosh Hashanah is so much nicer than Rosh Limbaugh. Which is probably why I don't have any Jewish friends anymore.

L'Shanah Tovah! I am about to head to work, which will be very quiet (I work at a Jewish university). I will get a lot more work done without students constantly coming in looking for my boss.

Happy New Year and Ramadan!

You know, to me New Year at this time of year makes much more sense. I've always felt a sense of new-ness and renewal in the Autumn. I think, maybe, that it has to do with school starting, getting new clothes and relief from the heat of summer.
