I have started to pack for my cruise! With 10 hours to spare :-D Any of you done cruises? Anything you might suggest I bring?
A colostomy bag. Isn't that what most of the other passengers will have? I always think of cruises as floating retirement homes. Or is it one of those Girls Gone Wild At Sea cruises?

It's a Carnival cruise. We'll see what the other passengers are like- there are lots of people signed up for the "roll call" meetup at the first day (meetups on cruises!!), and there were some folks our age, I think.

Any possible OTC medication (tylenol, tums, etc) or toiletries you might need. I hear they screw you if you need to buy that stuff on the boat.

I went on a cruise once, it was nice! Seconding SassHat's recommendation, as they do screw you on that stuff. TONS of sunblock. Multiple pairs of shoes, since yours might get wet and then you'll want backups.

Also, most have one formal dinner night, bring something to wear for that. It seemed to range, on mine, from cocktail party little black dress to prom level of formality. Some guys wore suits, some wore tuxes, so I wouldn't worry about being too formal or not formal enough. If you have trouble sleeping with noise you'll also want to bring earplugs, the walls are kinda thin between cabins in most ships.

You'll have so much fun! I'm jealous! And if you go to nassau do the pirate museum!

Motion sickness stuff, if you haven't been on a big boat before.

Your first landing, go and buy lots of bottled water from a local place. They charge arm and a leg on board and the water from taps is not potable.

Bring some formal stuff. They always have excuses to dress up. It's fun.

A big appetite. Free food everywhere, all the time.

More than one bathing suit, so the other one can dry.

That's all that I can think of! Have fun!
