Is it just me? Or does "General Petraeus" sound like the name of a Star Wars character?→[More:]I'd never heard of the guy until I was in the waiting room of the doctor's office yesterday and the news was on, and I was reading something else. After the fourth or so mention of his name, I realized the name sounds like it should be in some sci-fi or fantasy epic. "Governor Petraeus, meet Atreyu."

Every time I hear the flower name Liatris Scariosa I think it's a spell from Harry Potter. Can't you hear Hermione waving her wand and shouting "liatris scariosa!"?

Wonkette yesterday said "Today is supposed to be the magical day of Expecto Petraeus!" So you're not the only ones thinking along these lines.

The Chief Executive of MBNA is General Krulak. I always thought he sounded like a Star Trek character.

He's now a director of Aston Villa Football Club.
