The weather is so damn beautiful today. I wish I were not indoors, hunched over my computer and e-mailing out resumes.

But a job seeker's gotta do what a job seeker's gotta do.

An agency called me back about an hour after I started the e-mailing. But the position required high-level Access skills, which I don't have.

Oh, well. On to the next one. It's encouraging to get a response that quickly.

Access ain't something you can fake, either, like other MS products.

If there's any way I might be able to help, let me know. All I got is temp connexions, but until we temps form a massive, multidisciplinary union, rise up, and break the chains that bind us, that's all there will be.

I'm right there with you, writing carefully-worded cover letters and setting them free, hoping they don't all get sucked into the black hole where the resumes, hopes, and dreams of job seekers end up.
