Michigan [More:]

Doesn't hearing the word Michigan make you crack up laughing now? It should.

I haven't stopped laughing since Saturday.

Also, I have listened to this song about 30 times over the weekend.
p.s. Arkansas State came SO close to making it the best Saturday in the history of the universe.

I was laughing right along with you until the Irish got our asses handed to us.

As a Buckeyes fan by virtue of my Ohio connections, yes it was very sweet.

I like when all three Division IA teams so far mentioned in this thread lose.

What the heck are you all talking about?

Appalachian State (Div IAA champions) 34 - 32 Michigan (Div IA #5)

Well, I laughed a little bit. Not too much though, because I have some good friends who went to Michigan.

It was pretty much a waste of $124 to even go to the ND v. GA Tech game. Who do you root for, Hugh?

My favorite college professor is a huge Michigan fan, so I felt a little bad for him.

Then I laughed. Those Appalachian State players looked so ridiculously happy.

The pre-game was the best part of the Virginia Tech game. Very emotional. The game? Ugly. Way to warm up for LSU on the road next week.

Appalachian State is very impressive and would compete in just about every IA conference.

I'm a Maryland Terrapins fan, sciurus. Though, I have to admit, I root for the offense in most games.

Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State are all teams I root against on principle.

i was just telling someone the other day that i wasn't really aware that app state even had an athletic program that didn't involve using a bong as a relay baton.

A girl on the fencing team at ND was a big Terps fan, I remember how geeked out she was back in '02 when the Men's hoops won the title.

Yeah, that championship redeemed every day of those long years of pain between June 19, 1986 and April 1, 2002. Now, they can lose, and it doesn't matter so much: they've already given me what I always wanted, and anything more is just gravy.

I love that their special teams won the game for them - one blocked punt kick and one blocked field goal.

It's a lot more impressive to hear "Appalachian State Football: Back-to-back NCAA I-AA/FCS Football Champions, defending their title."

I live in Michigan, and I would root against Michigan, if I cared about sports. Which I really don't, at least not any of the popular ones.

I'm proud of App State! Good for them. And my Bees, too (I know, I know, yellowjackets. typing Bees is faster). My soul bleeds yellow and black and has a stinger.

Root against Michigan?

You're all off my Christmas list.

Go Blue!
