Ack ack ack! I hate responding to discussion questions online! My classmates can't even form coherent sentences! It's killing me! [More:]
This is college, people!

"I found this article to very informative that conveyed many things that I had some knowledge of , but one thing I was not aware."

Via, your classmates are clearly at least two revisions ahead of you in writing their ANLOCCPD (Automated Natural Language Online Class Comment Posting Daemon) software, and you'd better get cracking. If you would get yours working rather than doing bug-reports on the work of others, you too could be out drinking beers while your software periodically posts quasi-coherent comments on your behalf.

Or pick another lie to tell yourself in order to stay sane. Good luck.
I actually do wonder if there is software out there to game the popular online classroom software.. One big inverse Turing Test. 'twouldn't be that hard for some talented AI geek to write, would it?

That sounds like something cut-n-pasted from a Nigerian 419 email.

It doesn't get any better in grad school.

And it sucks a WHOLE HELL OF A LOT MORE when you have to do group papers.

I've edited a number of master's theses and a couple of dissertations. Occhiblu is right -- it doesn't improve.

I don't do that anymore. It's too depressing.

hahahaaha!

I teach a hybrid online class and this cracks me up. I totally hate it too. For a theoretical look at this, see "Inventing the University" by Donald Bartholomae. Part of the problem is people trying on an imaginary "academic" voice but not quite getting it right. I have the same problem when I lurk on my little brother's indie music site and post on occasion and am routinely ignored and/or mocked.

My wife is taking graduate course online, and the only other woman in the course has this annoying habit of saying "haha" after every point she makes, thus negating it.

I think I'll start doing that on MetaChat.

haha.

lol.

I gave up on more than a few blogs by university professors because of their bad grammar and poor spelling. Three law professors come to mind immediately.
