I'm on the Cryptosporidium diet! My daughter went to a preschooler pool party on Wednesday, and got pretty sick immediately after.→[More:] I must have missed a spot while scrubbing after a diaper change, as I've been in bed with fever/gastrointestinal distress/nauseau since yesterday afternoon. I refuse to move more than 48 inches from a toilet. I may never take my kids swimming again.

At my pool you are expected to shower before you get in the pool. I kind of like this concept.

Our pool has that rule too. Unfortunately, hundreds of toddlers in swim diapers chose to ignore it.

Ah, my neighbor the retired doctor just informed me it is probably just a virus, not the dreaded parasite. The Cryptonomicon diet involves diarrhea in the Philippines and bowls of Captain Crunch.

Craniac, I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

I think this problem is everywhere that there are public swimming pools. We have the same problem here.

Not to mention deadly amoebas in ponds. Those are the scariest of all. Unfortunately, there has already been one case and two last year that I know of around here.

The bugs, they are all around us.

/not a germ-phobe.
