what do you do when taskbar thingie vanishes? We just went wireless and now there's no File, Edit, View etc. thing on the top in Explorer, plus nowhere to key in url addresses.

Hmm. I'm not sure how to fix that - I just played around with the browser bar and can't make it disappear completely. Maybe you need to close the window and open it again, or reinstall, or better yet, use firefox ;) Here are links for you to click on, since you have no address field.

Try hitting F11 to cycle between Explorer's full screen and normal modes.

ctrl-L will bring up a dialog box to let you type in a url. Did you just upgrade to the new IE7? IE7 (I think) lacks a lot of the regular toolbars.
