you rock barack TDS ep: It's worth your time.
Do you feel like you're stuck in a Narrative, now?

And the Narrative is: Hillary Clinton is unlikeable but knows what she's doing... Obama is inexperienced but brings change. And that Narrative, no matter what you do, because it's easily categorised, the media or everyone else will just slip whatever happens into those two narratives?

I think by actually sending a correspondent to Iraq they've decided they might as well jump the shark and see what happens (unless it's a set up).

The bit about selling weapons was dead good.

Yay. I miss TDS. The clips used to take so long motherloading that I stopped going. Now the set looks so fancy with the rotating globe holograms and whatnot.

Actually, cillit bang, Ron Riggle traveled to Iraq with the USO, as part of a sketch comedy group. All the clips for the show were filmed in between USO gigs.

Plus, wasn't that guy a marine, or something? I like what he brings to the show. It's a nice departure from the (at this point) cliche of the faux reporter as smirking young smart-ass in a suit.

He was a combat marine for years in Operation Enduring Freedom. He's mentioned a few times that he knows he still might get sent back, actually. I think he still holds the rank of major.

I'm hoping the election is between Obama and Rudy, which would break down to voting between hope and fear. I have a bad feeling it'll be between Hillary and Rudy though, or roughly the political equiv. of a World Series between the Mets and Yankees.

Yep, that's how it looks to me too. I think I'll be "throwing away my vote" on whoever the Green party runs in 2008.
