bonus friday! w00t! what should i do with myself?[More:]

see, the company i work for has this really weird way of figuring vacation time. rather than give employees x-amount of time per year, it accrues x-amount of time per hour worked. it's deducted from the departmental budget at the same time as payroll costs, and the department has to pay an accrual interest on it. so, every so often when my vacation time builds up past the 100-hour mark, my boss will ask me to not come in on a friday.

tomorrow is one of those days.

i really need to work on cleaning the house, but i don't want to do that all day. any suggestions? (one thing to keep in mind is that it's HOT AS FUCK here in the south, so outdoor activity is a bozo no-no)
Go see a movie! Was always a favorite of mine on days too hot to do anything, back when I had free time and little access to air conditioning. All the better if you have a discount theater nearby.

You can stay out really, really late at DL tonight and not worry about it.

Second the movie. Sneak in some good snacks. Also: homeade lemonade. Bourbon.

On a ferociously hot day, I can be persuaded to go to a matinee. Even if the movie disappoints, I convince myself I'm really paying for the AC.

To build on Specklet's suggestion, may I add: Gin and lemonade?
