I have an apartment! And it has no oven. Today must be a good day for housing! :)

Three cheers for scody, SassHat, and muddgirl. There is a bright side to the no oven thing. If you need to bring a cake to a potluck, you can buy one at the bakery without looking like a slacker. Not that non-bakers are slackers.

If you have counter space, I'd highly recommend one of these. I have one (branded Prima in the UK) and it's brilliant. I hardly ever use my big oven. And a couple of years ago when my big oven was broken, I cooked Christmas lunch in my countertop oven, turkey crown, roast potatoes and everything.

I'm not kidding, it's fantastic.
