1. I had to wake up early because I scheduled my laundry delivery stupidly, but it's been nice to sit at my desk and watch the fog and drink coffee and argue architectural aesthetics via email and have the cat purring on my lap.

2. I should go to the gym, like, now, but it will probably be closer to later.

3. I keep procrastinating on getting my fingerprints taken (a requirement for my internship that starts soon), and I should probably reach over to the folder that has the info on that, but doing so would disturb the cat, who now is not only purring but actually has her paw on my arm and is wearing a happy-cat face, so... I won't.

1. It's really nice outside. Really, really nice.

2. I have way too much work to do, but I'll get out and lunch and sit in the sun for a few miutes.

3. I don't want to have my aunt's friend read the tarot for me, but there's no graceful way to decline, so that's what I'm doing tonight.

1. Finally some rain this morning, buckets of it, drenching our poor parched lawn and giving life back to our flowers from something other than my goddamn hose.

2. Wonderful lunch of a chickpea spread sandwich and garden tomato cucumber onion salad is sitting finely in my belly.

3a. Looking forward to a good workout after work, followed by the making of cucumber relish to can tomorrow and Big Brother on the idiot box.

3b. Feeling strangely upbeat and positive today.

1. The PD sheet was incorrect -- the Final Values take the PD numbers and incorporate floors and ceilings (described at the bottom of the PD sheet, rows 53-69). I've updated and attached the file again.

2. The 12.10 PD and 31.35 LGD in your report include all PD numbers from all report periods appended to the table, collapsed and summarized to the portfolio level for distribution (as put forth on pp. 27-28 of the Model Documentation).

3. The LGW numbers are reported from the Master Table as historical data summarized to the portfolio level.

1. I'm having very minor surgery this afternoon, and it may interfere with my weekly hazy-bike-rides-slash-liquor-fueled-dinner w/A & B.

3. The bad stuff I'd been going through seems to be resolving. This is very good.

1. Taking son shopping for school clothes tonight. This will be grueling. Also, I'm sneaking in a stealth visit to my mom which I will not tell him about until he is there. Heh. He will be horrible and cranky. School starts tomorrow.

2. Tired but have no real reason to be tired. It's still hot here.

3. Leftover salmon (the food, not the band) does not work out real well when mixed with mayo, celery, onion, pickle etc in a facsimile of tuna salad.

1) Zyrtec makes me appallingly tired and muzzy-headed, but it seems to be the only way to keep my skin from seceding from my body. This annoys me.

2) Farmer's market today! The peaches from last week were deadly good. And I need a strawberry crepe.

3) I really should start going to the gym again, but I just don't have the energy. I need to work on this.

1. I applied for an awesome job with the Mpls Public Library system today, but I'm miffed because their online application system doesn't allow for cover letters, and the cover letter I'd prepared was an asskicker.
2. I have to stop by a liquor store tonight on the way to band practice because the band consensus is that divvying up the proceeds from our last show would be a pain, so we should just blow it all on beer to keep the practice space stocked.
3. It's very hot and humid, but I biked to work anyway.

I spent last night in a swanky hotel courtesy of the producion offices of Supernatural, who were setting up to film all night (until 5 a.m.) more or less right behind my apartment. My upstairs neighbour, who has a talent in this direction, complained mightily and at length, and Lo we were comped into one of the best places in town-- the same hotel that their actors stay in. My son and his girlfriend got their own room, and spent the evening drinking wine, using the swimming pool, and doing whatever it is that young 'uns do when alone in a hotel room. I went out to a fancy French restaurant with said upstairs neighbour and we blew the per diems we were given on a spectacular dinner of roast duck and red wine and caprese salad. The contact with rich people was, however, disconcerting, especially the girl with the un-ironic Paris Hilton T-shirt and the drunken lady with the French bulldog hanging out in the lobby. Also, there were way too many mirrors in the bathroom, including one situated so that when you were sitting on the toilet you got a full and clear view of yourself, erm, enthroned.

I'm going to the gym tonight on my way home, then to see a friend's band play.

It's a lovely summery day.

1. Boyfriend and I may have found our place to move into -- the beautiful, 1920s Spanish bungalow on the property where he already lives! (His unit is a kind of studio/guest house behind the front house -- too tiny for the two of us.) The existing tenant bought a condo out of the blue, and so is contacting the landlord to give his notice and to let him know we're very interested. Fingers crossed!

2. I have new glasses and a new haircut that I wasn't sure I liked at first, but now I'm happy with both.

3. Still waiting for biopsy results. Had a little mini-meltdown yesterday morning, but back to feeling chipper today.

1. Slowly acknowledging the imminence of my move to Latvia (August 30!) by getting all sorts of documents notarized and apostilled, buying heaps of merino wool "base layers", and studying the language. Royally freaked out at the prospect of having to buy warm clothes without remembering how the coldness of winter actually feels for months on end.

2. Hazy and ever so slightly breezy, thank God. Yesterday was a scorcher.

3. Apparently always late to MetaChat threads because of my (beautiful, sunny, traffic-congested) time zone.

I'm just burnt out, cobra! I've been doing this kind of "write at an eighth-grade level" boring stuff for a decade now. It's sapped all my creativity. I don't write for fun anymore. I'm sick of the deadlines and the crappy pay. I'm just done. Time to move on to something else. The question is, what?
