Weekend Plans! Whatcha up to?→[More:]Tonight, NYC meetup. Tomorrow, auditioning candidates for new musical director at church, followed by party, followed by dinner & Fringe Festival show. Sunday, church.
Tonight, hanging out with my friends who are visiting. Tomorrow, brunch and putting them on a plane back to Quebec City. Tomorrow evening gym and probably something quiet, a movie or something. Sunday, cleaning, gym, visit the Met.
Tonight, I'm going to A's house. We're grilling dinner, getting drunk and playing Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s.
Tomorrow, I work during the day. After work, a bike ride. Tomorrow night, I'll maybe watch a movie, or see what B's up to. Unless different-B decides to visit LR this weekend, in which case I'll probably hang out w/her.
Sunday, more work, then I'm not sure what.
I'd like to get to the piercing place sometime this weekend, but it probably won't happen.
And I'm watching my pals' dog this weekend, so figure on a bunch of walking and feeding and whatnot, y'know, mixed in there. Last time I watched Nanny, I couldn't find the dry food (it was in the bedroom closet), so I fed her nothing but canned food, interspersed with occasional pieces of hamburger and whatnot, for a four-day weekend. Nanny is very, very fond of me.
Tonight. Maybe meetup, but it's not looking promising. This weather makes me want to eat hot food and sleep. Tomorrow. Bike ride to bike shop to investigate getting a new saddle. Who knows what else? Sunday. Shooting the Ted Leo show at McCarren.
This evening: Finishing the cooking for a mezze platter a friend requested for her wedding reception. Making the card to go with their gift. Early to bed.
Saturday: Going to the wedding! It's long ride, and the ceremony's at noon, so we'll arise at the crack of whatever to carpool with friends, and all four of us will go out for dinner when we return. I offered to cook, but my better half wisely talked me out of it.
Tonight: Tapas with the boyfriend and some good friends that I am introducing him to for the first time, then maybe go to safetyfork's show at the Sunset Tavern, then probably sex.
Tomorrow: Probably start out the day with some sex, then go to the tattoo convention with the boyfriend, then hopefully some more sex.
This weekend, I'm going to try to relax as much as possible by learning php (with MySQL), maybe read the next Harry Potter book, oil my bike, high five my wife, and watch lots of television.
Tonight I was supposed to have dinner on the beach with a few of our friends. Husband doesn't want to go and it's driving me absolutely crazy. I'm upset and I have this crazy feeling of desperation that I must go. I haven't called to cancel yet because I'm still holding out that he'll change his mind. How is a spouse supposed to act in this situation? He knows that socializing together is important to me. I haven't been out all week. I feel like the husband should join me unless he is on death's door.
Tomorrow morning I'm taking the kids to get their hair cut. I'll probably take them to the beach afterward.
Sunday I'm visiting my parents and shopping for a birthday gift for a girlfriend. Her party is on Monday night. We're going to dinner and a karaoke bar.
This afternoon and evening: I was up until 7:00 this morning, napped, just ate lunch and I'm going back to sleep some more. Playing WoW this evening.
Saturday: The Abbotsford Air Show is this weekend. The mister and I will find a place to park and watch it (it's $25 per adult). We might stop and get the chips in the brand new windshield fixed (happened on the trip to Terrace).
Last night I made two cakes which meant that my oven was on for two hours in this heat which meant that it was like 113 degrees in my kitchen all night. My friend, the reason for this frantic baking spree, better appreciate me because tonight in like ONE HOUR is her surprise party at the dive bar which I have been frantically organizing for the last three days and which is all coming together really nicely! Yay! She is going to freak! She called me last night and asked in a small voice if I felt like going out for a beer tonight because it was her birthday and all and I was totally, oh, sorry, dear, I have to work late. Heh heh heh.
Then tomorrow I'm going to the affordable housing fair to see if there's a decaying garden shed somewhere in a poison ivy choked gulch or ghetto that I can buy and live underneath or any other form of affordable housing for poor, poor pitiful me. Sunday is another friends' birthday and I still have to make him something. Probably a CD.
Tonight: studying and practicing for my mandarin final tomorrow, which will be loads of fun considering that I haven't opened my text nor listened to my CDs in 3 weeks.
Tomorrow: mandarin final in the AM, followed by dim sum with classmates to celebrate the end of class, and errands to ready myself for my trip to Peru(!) next Wednesday.
Sunday: Maybe a run in the AM, a massage in the early afternoon and the rest of the day will be spent planning what and how I shall pack my backpack for Peru.
Well, Friday night was full of beer and takeout, like almost every other Friday night I experience.
Saturday so far has been a bit of WoW (those ogres aren't gonna kill themselves), then off to the lab briefly and finally downtown to pick a few groceries at the Farmer's Market. I may or may not be social tonight, haven't decided yet.
Sunday is more lab then out to my parent's house for food, hopefully a bbq'd chicken rotisserie styles!
Friday I washed clothes, cleaned house, ate leftovers. Despite it being perhaps the most boring day anyone could ever imagine, I still managed to stay up 'til, like, 4:30 am.
Saturday, woke up very late (for me), around 9:30, which kind of sucker-punched my plans to be out of the house by 10 to do some things I had to do today - before THE HEAT. So, instead I did the things I had to do after noon, in THE HEAT. But then I came home and had a long, long, cool shower after which I slipped into an icy Chardonnay. Which brings you up to date.
Tomorrow a friend is coming by to visit, and I plan on making shrimp with cheese grits - now that I have grits, thanks to Carmina, who schlepped a huge-ass bag of them all the way from NYC to Athens for me. :) The shrimp are frozen (because it's August, duh), and the spring onions that I was able to find at the nearest supermarket (since my ridiculously expensive but good nearby organic grocery is closed 'til the end of Aug.) are no spring chickens. Plus, I don't have chicken broth, the cream in my fridge that I was planning to use may be bad... and I also don't have my actual recipe for making this dish, because it's still among the boxes of books that are still under my bed (long story...).
Anyway, I think the odds are 50-50 that we'll be eating yummy shrimp with cheese grits tomorrow, or putting them on the side and ordering pizza. Cross your fingers!
