persuant to an earlier thread re: gordon lightfoot here's a recording (nsfw - use headphones) of an interview with the butthole surfers on wnyu-fm from 1987, where they break into an impromptu "version" of "the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald", about three minutes in.

Well, I can do Steve one better...I was born in the building where they operated on Reagan's butt so that kind of makes us brothers and I just got high with my sister and niece.
