Daniel Radcliffe (aka "Harry Potter") turned 18 today and "gains access to a reported $40 million (£20 million)fortune." Happy Birthday!
Here's hoping that he is a level-headed, and serious into acting as he seems.

He was on 'View from the Boundary' today on Test Match Special, so he can't be all bad.

He's solid; he also has good taste in music. Public school boy.

I finally saw Order of the Phoenix and once again Alan Rickman was hilarious.

I really liked the scene in which he's stuck sitting next to the evil pink lady when they're first introducing her to the students.

I hope he takes his fame and money better than most of our American celebs have.

Alan Rickman is the world leader in the disdainful sniff. He is my hero.

Evil Pink Lady: You applied first for the Defense Against the Dark Arts post, is that correct?
Snape: Yes.
Evil Pink Lady: But you were unsuccessful?
Snape: Obviously.

All those kids seem to be doing very well; finishing school, etc. Their parents were very wise, it seems, in keeping them away from the dangerous side of it all.

They're probably a bit doomed, though... it'll be hard to break free of Potterdom. Grint has tried, although his film didn't light up the world. I've not seen Equus; anyone?
