Bump. Some initial Bunnystock II hotel information added to the wiki. Don't forget to add yourself to the attendee section if you are considering attending. Less than three months! Woo hoo and stuff.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Added! Thanks for the hotel info... it's never too soon to start looking around for deals. Are most of those who say they're staying in hotels going to go for the ones near the beach, or the ones near Mike's place? I'm thinking the latter, myself.

I just re-ordered the wiki, in ascending order of how sure everyone is they're coming. Weeeee!

I still don't know if I can make it for a night, BoringPostcards, but I'm thinking the beach so there would be a forward front/base camp type option.

Hmmmm, that's a good point, rainbaby. I hadn't thought of that.

People who are offering rides might want to mention what general area they are coming from/through...

Yeah, it'd be cool to have multiple bunnies in the same hotel at the beach, but I'm not in a position to plan much less organize. That way people could shower and stuff and not troop back to mike's then back out for the evening. . .

I was thinking about it, but airfares are really high. Suckage.

Tease. Did you look at flying into DC or NY and bumming a ride, mudpuppie?
posted by rainbaby 16 July | 14:46
I did. But I can't find airfare for under $400. Boo.
posted by mudpuppie 16 July | 14:53
Shoot, that is pricey mudpuppie. If you stumble upon a flight cheaper to DC, I'll fly into DC and meet you. Flying to DC is less expensive for me, but only 111 dollars cheaper -- not sure if it's worth the three hour plus drive. But, I'll be more than happy to bend my plans.

I found airfare and 2 nights in a hotel for $480. I have to figure out where these hotels are first, though.

Yeah, Little Rock to Norfolk seems to start around $400 too.

Wow. I don't know why it's so expensive to fly in here. It's not that great a beach.

You guys can also check Newport News (45 minute drive), Richmond (105 minutes), and DC (210 minutes).

I figured Norfolk would be expensive, being a smaller market. I also checked DC. Both Jet Blue and Southwest are unusually high. Maybe prices will drop as it gets closer. Who knows.

Maybe prices will drop as it gets closer.

Sometimes there's a "sweet spot" around two months before a date when prices WILL get lower, so everybody definitely keep checking.

I am semi-seriously considering visiting the East Coast in October. If I can make it down to Bunnystock II, I will.
