s_r's new craft project? Paintable umbrellas→[More:]I used to have a beautiful canvas umbrella that I loved but it perished in a house fire. I paid $25 for it (which was a lot for a student). Since then the only comparably cheery ones I've found are too expensive, or their canopies are made of something that will fall apart in a year. Maybe these aren't any better. We'll see.
