"Cigarettes Size
All cigarette brands manufactured once came in at least one standard size: King Size. King size cigarettes are cigarettes that are of a regular length, 80 mm. This was the standard international size for all cigarettes, and you will not find many cigarette brands that are not produced as king size cigarettes. However with the changing tastes of smokers around the world, and the introduction of more effeminate “Slim” cigarettes, cigarettes have started to grow in length. King size cigarettes are still the most popular sized cigarettes around the world, however 100’s are becoming ever more popular as cigarettes that are deemed “more cigarette for the same price”. 100’s are cigarettes that are 100 mm in length, the extra 20mm added to the cigarettes in comparison to king size is not added only to the smoking part of the cigarette, but a small amount of length is added to the filter. Most slim cigarettes are 100 mm long. Slim cigarettes are cigarettes that are thinner than standard cigarettes. The added length is to make the cigarette “last” longer. The two most recent size additions are 72’s (Launch by Philip Morris within their Marlboro range of cigarettes) and 120’s. 72’s are cigarettes that are 72 mm long. These were produced smokers who do not smoke as much and as often as regular smokers. The reason for the loss of length on the cigarettes is to ensure that none of the smoke-able cigarette is wasted. 120’s are cigarettes that are 120 mm long. These were produced under that same principle as 100’s, however 120mm cigarettes are generally a little more expensive than 100’s. However when the calculation is done, 120’s generally work out cheaper per 1mm than 100’s.
Cigarette Packaging
Cigarettes come in two forms of packaging, Box and Soft pack. Boxed cigarettes have a harder protective packaging, which ensures your cigarettes are not crushed and broken. Soft pack cigarettes have a soft outer packaging, that can allow your cigarettes to be crushed or broken, but are much easier to carry around, as the do not bulge in you packet.
