What Spinal Tap are up to these days Miniature horses, ferrets, hip hop, music for detainees and more.[More:]Note: Firefox users: if you're running Adblock Plus, you'll need to disable it to view the ~15 minute film therein.
They did an excellent Stonehenge at Live Earth. Too bad the BBC footage decided to fuck off to Jonathan Ross while they were doing Big Bottom.

Really? I missed pretty much the whole thing. Of the acts, I think I managed about one minute of Paulo Nutini (sp?) who was appalling and changed channels. Oh - I saw Thandie Newton desperately filling at one point. Ross was, as always, appalling - the man is a talent vacuum, I wish the BBC would ditch him.

Anyway: Tap! Yes!

Michael McKean actually made Christopher Guest break character and laugh toward the end there. That's impressive.

Here they are at Live Earth.

I saw Spinal Tap perform at a pro choice benefit in Santa Monica once. Shawn Colvin and Heart and a bunch of other acts were there too, and in the program each act had a long explanation about their feelings on pro-choice after being asked "Why are you here?" They talked about a woman having the right to control her own body, they talked about equality and the dangers of unwanted pregnancies and rape and all sorts of important stuff.

Spinal Tap's page had a one sentence answer: "We heard chicks would be there."

I totally went just to see Spinal Tap.
