It doesn't look like much, but this is probably my favorite restaurant in the world: Bennie's Red Barn, on St. Simon's Island, Georgia.

This is so frustrating. I simply can't use the img tag to upload. Sigh.

Plenty food-related pics at my Slow Food Flickr.

Holey camoley, that looks great, mrmoonpie. And I see you whipped the blade out for a frisson of danger.

Hugh, that knife was a groomsman present from none other than NortonDC. I always felt bad that I couldn't carry it on workdays, so I took that picture to show him that I do, indeed, use it on special occasions, like for cutting open that brown-sugar fruit. Also in the arrangement are two types of mango, the fabled white pineapple, a dragon fruit which was much prettier than it tasted, and a bundle of flowers we got for $1. Oh, and I bought the backpack at a rummage sale out there, too.

That's awesome; those Leatherman Juice tools are pretty sweet (I used to sell them... actually, I used to sell a lot of them). As NortonDC and you obviously know, they make kickass groomsman gifts.

Pretty nice in Hawai'i, eh? Maybe I should go out there for a visit before I decide to move to Mexico.

I've got a Leatherman Juice in my pocket as we speak. I'd trade it for a brown-sugar fruit, though--I've never eaten one of those in my life.

Food from work friends in Bandung! Nasi tumpeng is rice with turmeric, I think, surrounded by all these other foods.

The crispy things in the bag at top left are krupuk - shrimp crackers!

I'm not John - we just used his desk.

So... no real food. I took a picture of peas that didn't end up looking that good, and some honeydew melon that was boring. I'm cooking chicken now; maybe I'll see what that looks like. I feel safe in predicting... boring.
