Sounds like it could have come from the Judgment Night Soundtrack, even if it didn't. I must have listened to that CD hundreds of times, but looking at the track list now, I can't remember what a single song sounds like. It's been a while.
Man, the '90s were interesting times. Rap-rock? Most of the practitioners seem to combine the worst elements of both.
And Joe, if your memories of the Judgement Night soundtrack are positive, I'd say you might be better off just keeping it on the shelf. Except for De La Soul/Teenage Fanclub's 'Fallin,' which was the best song ever written about falling off before 'What's Up Fatlip?' came along.
I sold that one back years ago, probably so that some other dubious selection could occupy space in my racks. Or a college hallmate walked off with it. For me its legacy is "a whole album of rock bands playing with rappers."
Woot! Thanks! I'm about to raise all sorts of hell. We're leaving in a couple hours for Fort Lauderdale so the men can gamble at the Hard Rock, then heading way down in the Keys tomorrow morning for some serious partying. Ok, maybe not too much -- The kids will be with us. But the night time is for adults, or something like that.
