In case you missed the post , as I almost did, I highly recommend taking a look at the two films Schyler523 posted yesterday. Really beautiful experimental work from a young filmmaker named Emily Foster.
treepour is much better at contextualizing things than I am...

Sorry, Shcyler523 -- I didn't mean to sound so bitchy in the comment. It's one of those I that I cringed at the moment I hit "Post."

I didn't want this to fall through the cracks though, which is why I posted this one -- I was really blown away by those films. Thanks again for posting them.

i wasn't upset by that at all, probably because when i posted it i was a little tipsy and i didn't even try to contextualize it...so i was really glad that you reposted it in a much more accessible manner.

and i was a little apprehensive of posting it because emily and i are fairly good friends (it's hard not to know the creative types in a town this size.) I decided to throw caution to the wind though...

*breathes sigh of relief*

Really glad you did decide to throw caution to the wind! FWIW, this reminds of some of the better work I've seen at this place here in San Franciso called Artists Television Access, specifically at an experimental/underground showcase series called Other Cinema. I really hope she continues making films -- IANA media critic, but it seems to me she's got incredible talent -- like she's figured out how to dream not in her head but on film (I'm thinking especially of snowflakes).

Schyler, you don't need to be worried about posting a link to a friend's site here, or even a self-link.... so go ahead and break wind throw caution to the wind any time.

Well, if someone signs up just to pimp their stuff, that's not so cool, but we're sort of tight-reined on signups, so we don't really get much of that sort of thing.

good, because i am about to put my friends local access TV show on youtube for him, and as it is a sort of video biography of Columbia, and i'm a close friend, i am in pretty much in every episode in some way or another and even shot some of the footage in the first episode...when i've got them up i'll post them here...they are really very interesting...
