Weird Translations Movie and TV show titles in translation.

In the 90s, Spy magazine compiled a list of odd Chinese titles for Hollywood movies. Here were some good ones:

The Terminator: Devil Terminator
Total Recall: Devil Mobilized
Junior: Devil Jr.
True Lies: Devil Emperor True Lies
Demolition Man: Super Warrior Police
Judge Dredd: Super Warrior Police of All Times
Indecent Proposal: Peach Colored Transaction
Disclosure: Peach Colored Top Secret
The Shawshank Redemption: Excitement 1995

And my favorite:
Kindergarten Cop: Devil King of Children

Not Another Teen Movie had just been released in Spain when I was there. They had posters up for it, for Not Another American Movie.

The Kevin Spacey move "American Beauty" was billed in its Dutch translation as "Fart Party."

I loved Austin Powers in French. Tres, tres special.

And I loved Tremors in German. Basically it's something like In the Land of the Rocket Worms"
